Our Mission & Vision

The Breath of Life is the ruach of God; the life giving, life sustaining breath mentioned in Genesis 2:7. We only get this breath from the mouth of God and receive the word from the mouth of God-for man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Deut. 8:3). So that breath comes to us by way of His Word. So then we are sent to preach and teach the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ according to Isaiah 61:1-8.

We will with the help of the anointing of God, bind the broken-hearted, proclaim liberty to the captives and open the prisons of them that are bound. Furthermore, we intend to teach people the way to take part in the divine exchange; the beauty for ashes; the oil for mourning and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. That they might be called the trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old waste, they shall raise up the former desolations of many generations. It is our mission to change tomorrow today with the power that only comes from God.

Our Vision

VISION-FOR THE BREATH OF LIFE
Salvation- Marvel not that I said unto thee, “you must be born again.” John 3:7

Breath of Life is a church that is committed to the saving of souls. We believe that it is imperative to reach a dying world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, we believe that according to John 12:32 that B.O.L. will become a church for the masses.

Three Levels of Reaching

1. Up Reach
Worship: John 4:23-24
Breath of Life is a place where worshippers are born and developed. According to Isaiah 6:1-9, we will enter an atmosphere of worship looking to receive instructions, enlightenment and inspiration from God. If we are going to have a more intimate relationship with the Father we must learn to worship individually and corporately.

2. In Reach
Ministering to the needs of those in the house. Acts 6:1-8 and Deuteronomy 14:29

3. Out Reach
Ministering to those outside of the house. That includes the Jew (saved) and the Gentile (unsaved).
Proverbs 28:27; Luke 4:23; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:21

Developing Leaders– I Kings 19:16-19. Elijah and Elisha; Moses and Joshua Exodus 24:13; Exodus 33:11

It is our belief that every good leader will develop other leaders. We know that success is not successful without a successor. Elijah was told to anoint Hazael to be king over Syria; and Jehu the son of Nimshi he anointed to be king over Israel and Elisha the son of shaphat to be prophet as his successor. God’s purpose was so that it would come to pass that he that would escape the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay and him that escapeth the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay. We may be effective by ourselves, but we are more effective together. Elijah developed and appointed other leaders under the direction of God.

Developing Disciples
We are committed to the development of the believer which is attained and maintained through the Word of God.
1 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 2:2

Developing Faith
It is our desire at the B.O.L. church that all believers walk in ever increasing faith. That faith is your servant (Luke 17:5-10). That faith comes by hearing (Romans 10L17). That without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). By faith you become a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) and that we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). It is our desire to produce David-like disciples (after God’s own heart) Acts 13:22. The B.O.L. is a faith church.

Strengthening Families

It is our desire at B.O.L. to build strong families through the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Psalms 127:1 and James 4:7.

Spirit of Excellence
We desire to present unto the Lord a high standard of excellence in ministry! Corinthians 12:31; Daniel 6:3; Psalm 148:13.

Empowering the Youth- Breath of Life Disciples (B.O.L.D.)
It is our desire to empower, expose and encourage our youth through Christ preached; challenge expressed and change expected (Isaiah 58:12-14; Joel 2:28). This is a youth ministry that will be radical for Christ.

Holy Nation
We at the B.O.L. church are committed to walking worthy (Ephesians 1:4). This simply means we will be holy for He is holy (1 Peter 1:16; 1 Peter 2:9). This will happen by the renewing of our minds according to Ephesians 4:23-24 and Romans 12:1-2.

Tithing/Offering
We are committed to becoming a 100% tithing church according to Malachi 3:10; Proverbs 3:9-10; Galatians 6:7;
Luke 6:38 and 2 Corinthians 9:6. We desire to teach and preach that the seed will supply the need.

A Church For the Nations
God has called B.O.L. to be a multicultural ministry according to Mark 11:17; Colossians 3:11 and Acts 10 (Jew and Gentile).

Kingdom-Minded
It is our goal to help the believer to recognize their kingdom connection according to Luke 17:21; Matthew 16:19; Romans 14:17.
